Game Night at Mary and Steve's

We'll do the usual dinner at 5pm followed by gaming until midnight. We're planning on serving vegetable lasagna and garlic bread, but if you have left-over Thanksgiving turkey et cetera, feel welcome to bring whatever you like.

Axis and Allies 50th

I have company over that would like to play a 6 player game of Axis and Allies 50th today at noon. I know, it's last minute. Give me a call if you want in. 719 649-5781.

Directions to my place: Take Salt Lake Blvd to Bougainville Dr . This road will go on to Aliamanu Military Reservation (AMR). At the first major intersection you will see a gas station, stores, Burger King, bank. This is Aliamanu Dr, take a right. Turn left on Ama Road. Turn right on Calamondin Way (first right). We are 3112 Calamondin.

We're in a new location, Shidler C103, and we're back to our old days (Sundays). Parking on campus is free Sunday, but Shidler is right at the intersection of Maile and University, so street parking is closer. Our back up rooms are D105 and G103.

Twilight Imperium

Zach has offered to teach Twilight for those interested. I have wanted to sit dow to this game for quite sometime. I would like to get 6-8 players. The below description is from Zach:

For a general description, Twilight Imperium is a 'epic' space settlement and conquest game. The goal of the game is to accumulate victory points by accomplishing objectives involving developing technology, fighting battles, and gaining resources. Combat mechanics are similar to Axis & Allies, but in addition to basic unit capabilities there is a technology tree to improve them, event cards to modify specific battles, and special racial abilities. In addition, the game involves mechanics for choosing special roles each turn that dictate a primary ability for the owner and secondary ability for all others, a political voting mechanic, and a basic economic trading system.

All Hallow's Eve Game Night at Mary & Steve's

Inviting all humans (and any spirits that can pass for human) to Halloween game night at our place. Costumes, masks, funny hats and the like are encouraged though totally optional. As usual, bring what you want to play --we're hoping to make it a Halloween-themed event. We have games like Fearsome Floors, Killer Bunnies, Zombies!!!, Munchkin Cthulhu, and even the obscure (and deservedly so) Living Dead Dolls board game!

*** SPECIAL HOUSE RULES: Thirteen free dice re-rolls (this night only) to anyone who who brings a real hand-carved pumpkin (Clan Diamonds excluded). ***

We'll have the usual dinner at 5pm followed by gaming until midnight or so... We're thinking of having chili con carne (from Zippy's) and chili non-carne (Mary's spook-tacular vegetarian brew -- she made me say that), corn bread and whatever. Bring drinks, desserts, etc. -- no human sacrifices, please.

Note to new people -- this is a smoke-free home (except for any demons we send burning to hell...)
