At the first meeting today there seemed to be some interest in other boardgaming activites. Here's a list of the things I know in the local area:

Central Texas Boardgames Meetup:
http://boardgames.mee...
Meets the first Friday of each month in Georgetown.

Round Rock Gamers Yahoo group: http://games.groups.y...
Yahoo discussion group for gamers on the north side of Austin. Susan and I announce our (sort of) monthly game days here.

Open gaming at Great Hall Games Friday nights and Saturday afternoons.

Open gaming at Dragon's Lair Monday nights

I've dropped by Dragon's Lair a couple of Mondays. But there didnt seem to be much board gaming going on. Mostly some card game like Magic: the gathering or LOTR or something. So I dunno how many ppl actually meet there - or at Great hall games. Any input appreciated.

We have an 'Epic' Board Games day once a month. In theory it's the third Saturday, but in April it was the the 12th, and it will be May 31st. If anyone is interested, we don't (yet) have a Meetup, but I can send you an unofficial invite using Google Calendar.

Beyond that, we had a pickup SoC game last Thursday. Saturdays are often tight, because of WarHammer, but you could talk to Brian Melcher, one of the event coordinators, about getting space. I have a smaller folding table that a 3x3 board can be placed on, that has been used there in the past, but I would need to know in advance to leave it if it is going to be needed. (Actually, I have several, so if Brian gives approval, I could leave them all. I'm just not sure off hand how many I could leave.)
